Coordinating Editor

Toshifumi Takeuchi
Professor
Graduate School of Engineering,
Kobe University, Japan

Description

The special issue covers the latest research on new principles and methodology to generate molecularly imprinted synthetic materials capable of recognition for proteins and related biomolecules. Topics include the design and synthesis of new functional monomers and crosslinkers to develop and/or introduce new functionalities, new polymerization methods to improve the imprinting effects, highly sensitive MIP-based assays and sensors that can be combined with analytical instruments, combination of biotechnology and/or nanotechnology, and applications to life sciences, medical and pharmaceutical sciences, and environmental sciences.
