You can now add publications to your SMI online profile as well as contact and career information

When you are logged in to the SMI site as a member, you will see a link called "Profile" from the top (blue) menu. Clicking this link will take you through a series of pages where you can update your member profile with your photo and contact details (address, e-mail, phone, mobile/cell and fax) and determine whether these are public or only viewable by members. Progress to the next page and you can add details of your employment history by describing up to 3 previous posts.

A new feature on the third page allows you to add up to 10 publications to your profile. This can be done in 2 ways: Option 1 allows you to search for entries in the authors' pages on mipdatabase.com, the imprinted polymer literature database website. The author search is case specific, so please use capitalisation for all surnames. The name format should correspond to that used in the author's lists on mipdatabase.com. You will then be presented with a list of publications from the papers database from which to make your selection. If you publish under different names (say with with frst initial only or with 2 or more initials) you may need to run multiple searches in order to find the references that you want. Option 2 allows you to enter references by hand, you could use this to add non-MIP publications! After importing references further links will allow you to re-order the list or delete unwanted items and view the final profile.

You may post the link (URL) to your profile in your e-mail signature, blog or facebook profile to display your achievements to the world. To find the profile of other members, follow the link on the "Members" pages (also found on the top blue menu bar).
