The “17th International
Meeting on Chemical Sensors – IMCS2018” will take place in the main building of
the University of Vienna at the Ring Street during July 15-19, 2018. IMCS
conferences cover all areas of Chemical Sensing, from solid-state gas sensors
to highly selective biological recognition. Usually, it gathers around 500
participants, mainly from universities and research institutions, but also from
industry. Almost half of them are young scientists.
IMCS conferences
represent the largest and most renowned forum on chemical sensor worldwide and
look back onto long-standing tradition: the first IMCS was organized in
Fukuoka/Japan in 1983. Since 1990, it takes place every two years and is
alternately organized in Europe (e.g. 2012, 2018), the Americas (e.g. 2014,
2020) and Asia (e.g. 2010, 2016). You find more information on IMCS2018 at http://www.imcs2018.wien; the website of the IMCS conference series
