Personal statement:

I Archana Kushwaha, completed my Ph.D. in December 2019, under the supervision of Prof. Meenakshi Singh, Department of Chemistry, Institute of Science, BHU, Varanasi, India, would like to join for Post Doc. I have 8 research publications, and apart from that have 1 book chapter also.

Research Area -

Synthesis, characterization and applications of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) as central to my research work. My research covers computational designing, synthesis, characterization and understanding of molecular modeling between target molecule and monomers. The interaction between target molecule and functional monomers is calculated in terms of binding energies (BEs) using Density Functional Theory (DFT). The thesis work summarizes the fabrication of MIPs as well as MIP-nanoparticles sensors of pharmaceutical as well as psychoactive drugs and disease diagnostic tool for leprosy bacteria and use of pharmaceutical drug sensor as drug delivery with sustain release.

Further, the MIPs were characterized via elemental analysis, thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA), fluorescence spectra, SEM, AFM, FT-IR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, zeta potential, particle size analyzer, contact angle measurements. Detection of analytes were monitored by electrochemical analyzer (such as cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS)) and piezoelectric techniques (electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance).
