Bioinspired Materials

31 August – 1 September 2017

 Sponsored by the Royal Society of Chemistry Materials Division, the 2017 Bioinspired Materials conference takes place for the second time at Manchester Metropolitan University. The second edition is ‘bigger and better’ with 4 confirmed plenary speakers and room for 17 short oral presentations. This international conference has a fantastic line-up of exciting speakers, all of whom are experts in biomaterials, including:

·         Professor Sandra Hofmann, Eindhoven University of Technology

·         Dr Bart van Grinsven, Maastricht University

·         Dr Michael Whitcombe, University of Leicester (President, Society for Molecular Imprinting).

 The aim of the event is to bring together multidisciplinary scientists working in the fields of biosensors, materials chemistry, 3D-printing and tissue engineering. Registration includes conference dinner, lunch and refreshments on both days and a demonstration/tour at the 3D-printing facilities at MMU.

 Dates for your diary:

·         Abstract submission is now open and closes on 20 May 2017

·         Notification acceptance: 1 July 2017

·         Deadline for registration: 10 August 2017
