Personal statement:
I have recently earned Ph.D. in Chemistry from the HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, University of Karachi, Pakistan. I am currently associated with pesticide and drug residue analysis lab and working on LC-MS/MS, GC and UPLC for food and meat sample analysis. Along with i am mentoring three Ph.D and two M.Phil students on MIP and membrane projects.

My Ph.D research was focused on synthesis and characterization of Molecular Imprinted materials for their application in biological and environmental contexts. I have prepared MIPs for medicinally important compunds i.e., rormaric acid, methyl gallate, patuletin, quercetagetin for their extraction from plant extracts and presented smart syringe extraction. Another work on MIP-based UPLC column for the separation of quercetin from its structurally similar compounds (quercetagetin) is completed. In another study we presented surface-imprinted Fe-doped TiO2 nano catalyst dor Methylene blue dye adsorption and photo degradation.

Moreover, I have hands-on experience in fabricating thin polymeric membranes for the separation and purification of ionic dyes. I have practical expertise in material characterization techniques, including AFM, SEM, TEM, BET, XRD, TGA, DLS, HPLC, cyclic voltammetry, FTIR, NMR, and UV–Vis spectroscopy and have a strong record of scientific publications and conference presentations.

Currently, I am exploring the synergy between MIPs and MOFs for the fabrication of selective and efficient materials.
